Walking through the National and Natural Parks of Andalusia from the mountains to the coast we discover their history, culture, gastronomy and way of life.
Week 1 will be based in Sanlúcar de Barrameda, the ‘Santo Lugar’ where the Guadalquivir River flows into the Atlantic Ocean and bids farewell to the Doñana National Park, a natural area declared a biosphere reserve by Unesco. Here, for thousands of years, the great civilisations have coexisted with hundreds of migratory species on their constant journeys between Europe and Africa and between the Mediterranean and the Atlantic.
Studying Spanish and living with the people of Sanlúcar will give us an insight into the lifestyle of the Andalusians, which is undoubtedly the best way to understand the keys to our idiosyncrasy.
